Today topic is Survived from IELTS academic. test i passed this test 3 months ago, It was hard enough for me, because i had flu at that time and my basic English was not good enough. Fortunately, i survived from IELTS! and got "ticket" to go to Le Cordon Bleu Sydney, culinary arts school. i am going to fly to Sydney in January. later, i will tell you about my journey to Sydney. Now, back to IELTS, how did i survive? What were obstacles to pass this test? below are what i did and what you should learn :)
Firstly, PRACTICE! Study hard!. This is the most important key to pass IELTS. i practiced IELTS books, learn from some website such as xtremepapers.net, and www.ielts-exam.net. There are many websites and sources that contain about IELTS.
I practiced this test everyday, before the test. There are 4 subjects in the IELTS, listening, reading, writing and speaking. For listening, i watched English movies with English subtitle, TV shows, and listening BBC radio as much as i could. For reading, read a lot of English books! i practiced speed reading.
For writing, i spent my time everyday before the test to practice formal writing, avoid slang, use connective words and your basic grammar should be strong. The last is speaking, I practiced speaking with my friends and practiced to talk by myself in front of my mirror.
2. Take a relax day before the test, I went to mall, watch TV shows that i like, i ate at the restaurant that i love and hang out with my friends. this will reduce the stress and nervous.
3. Have a good sleep at night and stay healthy. i had a flu at that time, then i could not get high score.
4. Don't forget to pray before the test! I had a flu at that time, and my basic was not good enough, but i could pass! It was miracle!
So this is the end of survived from IELTS academic topic, i hope it'll be useful for you. my last advice for you is do the the best and God will do the rest! :)
